A storm raged through last night… my goodness, the wind was something else! Our home is quite melodious when the wind blows through the cracks just right. Spoooooooooooky.

The sun was shining this morning, though, but the tumultuous clouds today hint at last night’s storm. I swept off the leaves from the porch so that when it did rain, there wouldn’t be a pile of slick, gooey leaves for me to deal with. The wind was so fierce, that it’s absolutely covered again. And slick and gooey. Oh, well. So much for trying to get ahead of nature!

I thought today might be a good day for laundry since I’m out of underpants. I think I’m on my third load of laundry now, and I’ve got at least two left to do. Yikes. Kinda makes me long for the days of the Laundromat when we’d just do it all at once, in six machines!

Worked on my scrapbook stuff yesterday, and got my page finished that I’m going to teach on Friday. It looks really neat, even though I only used the simplest of materials to complete it. woo hoo! I don’t have any of my customers to come with me, though. None of them can get out of work early enough to come up with me, and they don’t want to make the trip by themselves. Oh well. I’m doing this for the practice and for the fun, anyway, so missing out on the sales is no big deal. I’m hoping to make November a big month for sales, so I’m trying to gear up for it by planning ahead. I’ve got one class scheduled, and I’m going to be hosting my own workshop, too, so that might help. Also, I think Amanda still wants to do a class, so I’ll see if she wants to do hers in November. I’m hoping I don’t have to push my goal month to December because everyone is strapped for funds then… this whole business thing is exhausting!

Still no word from the book shop. I know I should just go in and ask for the manager for an interview since I didn’t get a call last week, but I’m nervous for some reason. I’ve done this before, but somehow, this is feeling really weird. Perhaps it’s because it’s a mall job, and I think people will make fun of me for working in a mall even though I have two BAs…. hmmmm. I don’t know. We’ll see.
