Jesse’s Birthday

So, yesterday was Jesse’s 26th Birthday. whee! We went to the mall to spend a gift certificate. JeT came home with a new, rad belt and a Jolly Roger bath mat from Hot Topic! whee! I still need that Jack Skellington sweatshirt to live, so I pointed this out to him while he was spending his birthday cashito. Hopefully my not-so-subtle hints will have sunk in and for our anniversary, next week, I’ll be the proud owner of the Jack-Skellington-Sweatshirt-that-I-need-to-live. Here’s hoping.

I made dinner last night and we watched Nightmare Before Christmas. whee!

Covered in BEES!

I woke up this morning (well, later this morning, after having taken Jesse to work at 5:30 and returned to take a nap) to a dull, droning, buzzing sound.

Turns out, there were no less than 20 bees in the big room upstairs (onto which the bedroom opens) desparately attempting to get outside. I’ve managed to put 10 or so out, but the rest are trapped in between the window glass and the screens. As long as they aren’t in the house, directly, then I’m ok. They’ll probably die tonight, what with the frost and all. Little bastards shouldn’t have come in. Should’ve stayed in they’re little hives where they could hibernate or whatever they do.

The whole upstairs sounds like it’s alive with buzzing. Crazy business.

now I have nothing to say

So I think I found one of the aforementioned high school people, and emailed him. I have no idea why. But he emailed back, and now I have no idea what to say to this person. I swear, I should have better things to do than this. Am I getting the “ack, I’ve been out of HS for almost 10 years” anxiety? Most people that I graduated with are married, have babies, or degrees and stuff… I guess I’m just curious. At least I’m not that guy who was going to pay someone several thousand dollars to get hair plugs before he went to his 20 year reunion.

a bit late, but…

for next year, we can all take part in “talk like a pirate day”, September 19th.

wanna find your pirate name? go here

Mine’s Calico Jenney Flint
Often indecisive, you can’t even choose a favorite color. You’re apt to follow wherever the wind blows you, just like Calico Jack Rackham, your namesake. Like the rock flint, you’re hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you’re easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!

y’arr matey. I’d better go swab the deck… or the mess or cantine, or whatever I’m supposed to call the kitchen.

stay tuned, I’ll find a pirate dictionary somewhere… I heard tell that Mr. E. Monkey had one. I’ll check in later.

heh, think I found the problem with the previous post…damn html tags.

a little overbored

I must really be bored… or something’s up…

There are a couple of people that have been showing up in my dreams of late… people from high school, yikes. But I thought, since my subconscious is being so persistent, perhaps I should try to contact these people. Short of paying some people searching website, or registering (and paying) for those reunion-type webbie services, I’ve tried several methods… well, ok, so I tried google-ing around to find them with not much luck.

I have my website listed at a couple of those reunion-type places, but in order for anyone to access that info, they’d have to pay… and who the hell wants to do that?

Those people will just have to keep bothering me in my dreams.

word.

Dammit, this one person keeps showing up in my dreams… again, last night, he was there. Just there. I was driving around, and he was in my passenger seat. I don’t think I said more than two words to this person my entire life, and he has the nerve to keep popping into MY dreams… sheesh.

I found one reference online when I googled him, and I emailed that address. No response yet. I have no idea what I’ll say to him if he’s the same person, however, this whole showing up in my dreams thing is telling me to try to contact him… if not him specifically, then certainly people from high school in general. yikes.

There are only a couple of people from those days with whom I’d very much like to establish new ties, however, he’s certainly not one of them.

I remember having dreams in highschool about people that I only saw, and never spoke to. I’d walk into school the next morning feeling some sort of connection. It weirded me out.

I did a Google search on the boy I had a crush on from 2nd to 4th grade and I found that he’s going to Seattle Pacific University and runs track.

I’m illin’, yo

So, I’ve got this sinus thingie… it’s been creeping up on me the last few days. I was icky yesterday, but still managed to go out and up to Nashua to see Heather and her other bride’s maids. woooo! We tried on our dresses, and they’re so nice! Heather’s is beautiful, of course. Ours are light purple-ish/silvery niceness with sparklie thingies and little embellishments. very nicey-nice.

I had many strange dreams last night, most of them dealing with stuff in high school that I wish I had done differently. Very odd, considering I haven’t thought of this stuff in ages and ages. I couldn’t sleep much past one o’clock this morning, so most of my time was spent in a state hovering between wakefullness and sleepytime. My sinuses were treating me well, though, and I could breathe fine until about 6 this morning… of course, it was around six that I finally started to get sleepy again. yeah.

ok, feeling icky, shower time….

(pointless post, no?)

thanks. although, I’ve had many strange nights this week. I’m asleep by 10 at the latest, then awake from 1 to 6, then asleep for as long as the day will allow.

where’s my magic sleepy fairy dust when I need it?

There’s no such thing as a pointless post – if there was, my site would be a wasteland of empty.

Hope you feel better soon 🙂

oogley googley

searched for “sparkle j” on google. In addition to getting my site, there were a surprising number of hits for J-Lo’s fashion sites. The sentences went something like blah blah blah “clothes that sparkle. J-Lo” blah blah blah… amusing.

Jesse’s finished OOTP!

woooo! Of course all the way down to Maryland and all the way back home, I was pestering him at the end of every chapter to discuss what he’d read, and so after having finished it this morning, there really wasn’t much to talk about. He enjoyed it, but it was such a roller coaster… he’s exhausted! I’ve re-read all the Narnia books, all the HP books, all the LOTR books, the Never Ending Story, read the Golden Compass twice, started several non-fiction books (gardening, etc)… but I need new books. One of the reasons I re-read all those books is because I had to drastically cut my book buying budget this summer. I only bought Golden Compass and NES. That’s it. My birthday, however, is swiftly approaching… ok, it’s not until December, but still, it’s closer than it was in May, so there.

I’m making a book list for my friends and family who want to buy me something. They always want to buy me pressies at my birthday and Christmas, go figure… but most of the time they don’t know what to get me… but no one seems to ask what books I want. So, I’m giving Jesse a list of things I actually want and if someone happens to ask him what they should get me for either of the December holidays (yes, my birthday is a holiday, I’m a princess) they won’t get me another stuffed toy of a snowman or something that is cute and I’ll go “awwww” and then set on a shelf for ever.

If I’m a princess, then I must be ruling over the land of run-on sentences today. sheesh.

I think I ate too many mashed potatoes last night for dinner… I’ve been feeling out of sorts all day. Sleepy, but antsy at the same time. Ill but well. No, sir, I don’t like it.

maryland, oh, maryland

We got back yesterday from our weekend excursion to Maryland for John and Laura’s wedding. They are in Ireland right now having a blast, I assume. I tried to get them to pack me in a suitcase to take with them so I can see Ireland (I’ll probably never be able to afford the trip) but they, strangely enough, wanted to be alone on their honeymoon. Can you believe the nerve of them? sheesh.

I have been having a sickeningly craptastic summer. There’s nothing worse than feeling lonely when you’re surrounded by people who care about you. Even with all these friends and family of mine, I still feel disgustingly lonely. And then I feel really shitty because how am I supposed to even get this off my chest without making my friends feel horrible. And to top it all off, I realized what that “one thing” is that I’ve been missing since I’ve been up here in MA… but he’s 500 miles away. All of my friends here are great, but he’s the one friend who knows me from the inside out. More than even Kristen (if that were possible).

sigh.

I need to make some mix cds to cheer myself up.
