S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y NIGHT!

Happy Birthday to MK!

Going to a super-fun party tonight to celebrate her 30th time around the sun. I have a fabulous new dress, and fabulous shoes, and a fabulous new hair cut. All of which is appropriate to the theme, “Dress to Thrill.” (Especially my fabulous new hair accessory.)

In health related news, I still don’t know what’s up. So, let’s hope no news is good news, eh? Another appointment on Wednesday morning. And I’ll (finally) get my heart-test results back Monday. I figure if I exploding were immanent, they would have been required to tell me, yes? One hopes.

But no time for worrying, Dr. Jones, there’s a party to go to. (And cookies to eat.)

It’s the new Jan Brady!

snazzy new hair cut (but bad photo)To celebrate earning my snazzy new derby name, I got a snazzy new hair cut. The photo is a bit grainy, but you get the idea. There’s a better photo of the side (so you can see the cute angles) if you click through to Flickr. It looked awesome when I came home from the salon yesterday (Gloria and Company in Fairhaven, if you’re curious), because she used some sort of product and took the time to dry it and used a round brush and all that good stuff. I think, however, that it’ll look great as a wash-n-go sort of cut as well, so that makes me happy. The photo was taken today, and I just ran a brush through it, and it still looks pretty good. Gloria cut off 13 inches to donate to Locks of Love, and she cut off still more in the styling.

Buggin’

The cats have fleas. It’s disgusting. Poor Crookshanks has them worse than Phoebe, and he isn’t the one who brought them into the house! We’re making them both indoor cats so that they don’t keep eating weird things outside and getting sick, and bringing in bugs and whatnot in on their fur. Part of me feels bad for making them stay inside, when we live in a really nice place for outdoor cats (provided you bring them in at night to avoid making them into coyote snacks). But we’re just tired of all this hullaballoo.

On another cat-related note, ‘Shanks has pooped fairly normal yesterday and today. He’s out of his medecine, so we increased the amount of canned pumpkin, and it works better than that other stuff ever did. They told us to stop feeding him the canned pumpkin when we started him on the lactulose syrup. We had no success with the syrup whatsoever. And we were giving him doses of that stuff that would send a grown man running for the bathroom just in time. It had no effect on him. I’m just going to go back to what we were doing before, and keeping up with the belly massages. That really helps him go. Not that any of you really needed to know those kind of details about our cat’s intestinal business, but there you go.

We’ve spent yesterday and today cleaning up the house, trying to debug it. We threw out that nasty ol’ green carpet (even though it really did tie the room together), and the brown patterned rug upstairs has to be severely dealt with. Someone decided it would be awesome to piss all over it while we were gone. (And I don’t think it was Woo, this time. Damn carpet pissers). Ugh. I feel so dirty and disgusting. I’m pretty sure the bedroom was closed up while we were gone. At least, I know I shut the door before we left, but JeT thinks the door to the bedroom was open, and he was the first upstairs when we got home. Either way, we didn’t think to check the cats for bugs when we opened the room and let them sleep on our bed with us! Argh.

We’ve washed every exposed textile in the house, just to be safe. We’ve got some carpet treatment stuff to put on tonight, and the cats will get shampooed. We slapped some flea collars on them this afternoon, so that should help us out to start with. Dirty, dirty, dirty.

I need five showers.

it’s been a while

my devoted (cough cough) readers have nagged me enough to make me post something.

something.

there, are you happy now? tee hee.

A great big HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! to MO today!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Chad, you made a cameo in one of my dreams last night… it was really weird. We were all at some wacky 20 cent party and it was kinda like the “toga” party, but a little different. We were all wearing weird drapey clothing like togas, except both shoulders were exposed. It was Gustav’s idea to have a “shoulder” party… weirdo. Anyway, you were going way crazy taking photos of everyone, and trying to get photos up girls drapey things. It was really funny. Don’t you go and get any ideas, now.

I think the spaminators who nabbed my email as a mask are pooping out, so I only got 230 messages today, as opposed to the 500 that I was getting. They were all bounce-backs. I hope that’s the last I see of them for a while. Thanks for the advice anyway, Kristen.

I’m almost done knitting that scarf for myself. I finished that hat a while ago. woo. I’m working on making a scrapbook for the crafty projects that I actually finish.

I’ve stopped biting my fingernails (as of October 3) and now I’ve been inducted into the society of nail grooming. It’s really stupid. I had to buy an emory board, and everything. And they don’t last very long, so I need to buy more. My nails grow really really really quickly, and I’m having to trim them and file them more than I’d care to.

Aren’t you glad I posted this people? You wanted something to read, and here it is. Exciting, no?

Of course. Well, it was a few days ago. Damn Limozeen people.

thanks for the tips, MO!

Goblin King, O, Goblin King… the url doesn’t work. And I have an email for you that I’ve been writing for well over a month… yeah, I’m not so up to date with my email. However, I have been trying to look some stuff up for you. It’s been so long, you might have forgotten what you asked me about. tee hee. I’ll see you in a month, anyway… woo hoo! (you’re going to be in town, right?)

hey Joelle..thanx for the birthday wish.

Also, if you buy a nail file (the metals ones) they will last alot longer then the emory boards and I like to use for cleaning, too.

pink sparkly nail pollish (or is it polish?)

I had on black nail polish for the goth party last Friday, and then put on pink sparkly nail polish for the rest of the weekend. I just took it off a few minutes ago. It’s strange how long my nails grow when they’re polished. I usually nibble at them constantly so that they never grow past the end of my fingers. It’s kinda neat, but weird feeling just the same. I’m not usually a nail polish kinda girl, but I have been of late. I never said this was going to be a post with substance. But hey, at least I left out any philosophical ramblings about sqiggle tentacles, tee hee.
